Join us for what promises to be a fantastic evening, celebrating the much anticipated publication of Bonnie Garmus’ debut novel Lessons in Chemistry. Bonnie will be joined by Pandora Sykes as they discuss Bonnie’s smart, funny, joyous and powerful novel set in the 60’s featuring an unconventional female scientist with a quiet game-plan to change the world. Undoubtedly one of 2022’s most gloriously enjoyable debuts.
Bonnie Garmus is a copywriter and creative director who has worked for a wide range of clients, focusing primarily on technology, medicine and education. She is an open-water swimmer, a rower, and a mother to two wonderful daughters. Lessons in Chemistry is her first novel.
Pandora Sykes is a journalist and broadcaster. She has written for the Sunday Times, Vogue, ELLE and the Telegraph amongst other publications. She was the co-host of The High Low, the UK’s No.1 podcast for women and in 2020 she published How Do We Know We’re Doing It Right? a collection of wise and witty essays that question the perceived wisdom of modern life and asks whether anybody really knows what they are talking about.
