Join us for a magical evening with Susan Dennard and Elizabeth May in conversation with Daphne Tonge, founder and owner of Illumicrate, as they discuss their respective novels The Hunting Moon and To Cage a God.

Susan Dennard is the award-winning, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Luminaries trilogy, the Witchlands series (now in development for TV from the Jim Henson Company), and the Something Strange and Deadly series—in addition to various other fiction published online. Before becoming an author, she got to travel the world with her M.Sc. in marine biology. She also runs the popular newsletter for writers, the Misfis and Daydreamers. When not writing or teaching writing, she can be found reading, playing with her toddler, or mashing buttons on one of her way too many consoles.

Elizabeth May is the Sunday Times bestselling author of To Cage a God, the Seven Devils duology (co-written with Laura Lam), The Falconer series, and romance novels under the pseudonym Katrina Kendrick. She is Californian by birth and Scottish by choice, and holds a Ph.D. from the University of St Andrews. She currently resides on an 18th-century farm in the Scottish countryside with her husband, three cats, and a lively hive of honeybees that live inside the wall of her old farmhouse.

Daphne Tonge is the founder and owner of Illumicrate, the UK’s first YA and crossover book subscription box since 2015, and a wonderful community of avid book lovers. She’s also Marketing Director for inclusive children’s publisher Knights Of, an event chair, and a 2020 Kitchies judge. Previously, she was an award-winning book blogger from 2011-2018 and a judge for the YA Book Prize and The Gollancz and Rivers of London BAME award. She lives in London, but is a Chinese-Filipino born and raised in Manila. She can usually be found fangirling over first editions & fictional princes, and recommending books on social media at @daphlt and @illumicrate.

Please note: Book and ticket option includes a copy of either The Hunting Moon (RRP. £8.99) or To Cage a God (RRP. £19.99) which will be available for collection on the night.
