Come and join us for an online family experience with Manchester Museum.
Our Family Days are all about getting together, sharing fun experiences and spending time with other families who just ‘get it’. We can’t see each other at the Family Days originally planned for this summer, but we're excited about our new online family day experiences.
These virtual events are for families, with children under 18 years, where a child or parent is living with a brain tumour.
You and your family will enjoy a virtual tour of the Museum’s Vivarium which is home to a large collection of Costa Rican frogs as well as other amphibians and reptiles. The experience will see you get up close to some of the Vivarium's endangered inhabitants as well enjoy a question and answer session with the team behind the scenes. This event will be interactive, relaxed and free to attend.
We’ll be meeting online using the video meeting platform, Zoom. Don’t worry if you’ve never used Zoom before, we’ll send you full, easy to follow instructions to get you started and it’s completely free! We can even do a test Zoom chat before the event if you'd find it helpful, please just let us know. The Zoom waiting room will be open 10 minutes prior to the start of the event to allow you time to sign in.
Spaces fill up quickly, so please make sure you book your places in advance. This event is for the whole family, please book a ticket for each family member. You’ll need a link and a password to join which will be emailed to you the day of the event.
If you have any questions, or would like to find out more please contact us or visit our website.
The Brain Tumour Charity is a UK based charity. We welcome families outside of the UK joining our online events, however, it is important to note unfortunately we do not have the facilities to translate conversations for any non-English speakers.
