Join us for what promises to be a fascinating meeting of minds, as Philippe Sands and Ian Rankin discuss their latest works, in conversation with Baroness Helena Kennedy QC.
Philippe Sands QC, one of the UK’s most prominent human rights barristers and author of the Baillie Gifford Prize-winning East West Street, will discuss his latest book, The Ratline, a riveting real-life thriller offering a unique account of a senior Nazi SS officer’s life as a fugitive, which was shortlisted for the Waterstones Book of the Year 2020.
Internationally bestselling novelist Ian Rankin’s latest book featuring John Rebus, A Song for the Dark Times, also features a missing husband, and explores themes of family, fatherhood, and of course, the nature of crime.
Long admirers of each other’s writing, Philippe and Ian will discuss the themes that join these two works together, their writing and their careers, and you’ll even get the chance to put your own questions to these two exceptional writers at this unique online event.
This event will be broadcast on Zoom, please make sure you have this installed and updated on your chosen device.
