Join debut author Mateo Askaripour and fellow writer Derek Owusu for what promises to be a brilliant evening of conversation, as we launch Mateo's blazing book Black Buck.

An irresistible slice of satire, Mateo Askaripour’s debut takes a scalpel to America’s sales force and office culture through its incisive, firecracker of a story about race, capitalism and ambition. Don’t miss this chance to hear from Mateo himself and you’ll even have the opportunity to ask your own questions on the night.

Mateo will be in conversation with writer, poet and podcaster Derek Owusu, whose debut novel-in-verse That Reminds Me was published in November 2019 and won The Desmond Elliott Prize in 2020.

Please note that the Ticket & Book option for this event will include the Waterstones Exclusive Edition of Black Buck.

Please note that the Ticket & Book option for this event requires a UK postal address. Please do not select this option if you do not have a valid UK postal address as you will not receive the book and may still be charged. Books will be posted after the event and so will arrive a few days later.
