Beauregard-Keyes House

Put down your po-boys and get your hands on two hundred years of French Quarter history through the eyes of the diverse folk who've called the Beauregard-Keyes House in New Orleans, home. Originally designed for wealthy auctioneer Joseph Le Carpentier, the main house was built in 1826, and most original features are intact – don't miss the unique square grand piano in the parlor. See the dependency buildings, visit the original slave quarters in the rear of the courtyard, and learn about the house's former inhabitants. You can also see the 1950s writing studio of a famous American author.
