Here's where heliconias, gingers, aroids, bromeliads, and native Hawaiian plants all flourish, and where you can say aloha up close to nature. You'll need most of a morning or afternoon to explore all the gardens, so take your time to wander, sniff, smell, and soak up the stunning surroundings. You might even see the local students using the space as an outdoor lab - lots of plants used in food and medicine are grown here too. The Arboretum is also home to one of the largest palm collections ever to take root in a botanical garden.
