We are delighted to announce our BRAND NEW walking tour of Bermondsey!

Led by our experienced and knowledgeable Cathedral Guides, this is an opportunity to explore the streets of Bermondsey.

Join us for a walk down hip Bermondsey Street, "where you move after you've outgrown Shoreditch" and hear recent and ancient stories of tanneries, an abbey, artists, biscuits and bombs. Bermondsey has been through many changes and continues to evolve, so come for a glimpse of the modern vibe, where every name tells a story.

About our Guides

Our Cathedral guides undertake extensive training to learn 900 years of Cathedral history and volunteer their time to deliver tour and walks for the Cathedral. Many of them also work as City of London Guides and Greenwich Guides and are very knowledgeable on a wide range of subjects that they share with those who attend their tours.

Duration: 90 minutes

Start: Southwark Cathedral Courtyard, SE1 9DA

Finish: Southwark Cathedral Courtyard, SE1 9DA

Meeting point: Southwark Cathedral Courtyard located on the north side of the Cathedral opposite the River Thames.

Please ensure you wear sensible footwear for this walk and be prepared for all weather conditions. We also recommend you bring a small bottle of water with you.

Maximum of 10 people per walk. If on the day you are unable to attend please do let us know so we can offer the space to someone else.

Unfortunately this walk is not accessible for people in wheelchairs or with walkers due to the uneven surfaces and narrow streets.

We recommend that you do not bring your dog with you unless they are an assistance dog.
