Mohammed Bin Rashid Library

Built in the shape of a rehl, the traditional wooden book stand used to hold the Quran, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library overlooks Dubai Creek. This seven-storey structure houses Dubai's most ambitious cultural initiative to date, establishing a beacon of knowledge, culture and creativity with the aim of developing a collection of millions of books from around the world. The library is the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The creation of the library follows a number of important initiatives implemented to promote and encourage reading, literacy and Arabic literature.
