Tickets

More info

At the start of the 17th century, the Bologna artist Annibale Carracci began the huge and impressive task of painting the fresco in the chapel of the family of the Spaniard Juan Enriquez de Herrera. The inspired artist designed the whole thing, but then he fell sick and had to abandon the project. This exhibition, put together by the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, showcases the stunning frescoes that were transferred to canvas and split between the Reial Acadèmia Catalana de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi and the Prado Museum in Madrid. You can also see a series of drawings by Carracci and the students who attended his workshop. Please note, this ticket does not include access to the permanent collection. You will need a separate ticket.
