Oceanário de Lisboa
One of the world's greatest aquariums overflows with ocean life
Zoos & Aquariums
Dolphins are back in the Tagus River and the Oceanário de Lisboa is inviting you on a boat trip to observe these animals up close. You'll even be accompanied by a marine biologist on your trip! Along with the unique opportunity to see dolphins up close, you'll also be able to spot a huge range of biodiversity, including harbor geese, terns, cormorants and sometimes even sharks. While dolphins aren't usually residents of the Tagus, they began to be regular visitors in Lisbon in 2020. You'll find females and their baby and juvenile calves entering the river in search of food; in fact the juveniles use the opportunity to learn to hunt! Join this memorable experience and learn how you can contribute to protect the species that live on this border between the river and the sea!
