Amsterdam Light Festival from Central Station

Experience Amsterdam in a different light. Literally. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Amsterdam Light Festival, and to mark a decade of illuminating the dark days of winter, the theme of this year's festival is Celebrate Light. With the Amsterdam Light Festival turning 10 years old, this year's theme, Celebrate Light, takes a look back at some of the most remarkable and memorable artworks of the past decade, and redisplays them proudly on Amsterdam's canals once more. The festival also aims to shed a light on social issues, and hold a candle for those who are unable to join in the lighthearted festivities, such as the elderly.
