Traditional Japanese Weaving Workshop at KOHO Nishiki Textile Studio

Visit the KOHO Nishiki Textile Studio and weave a piece of Nishiki-ori (a Kyoto silk brocade woven with gold, silver, and multi-colored threads) yourself. * The KOHO Nishiki Textile Studio undertakes thorough research and restoration on precious ancient Nishiki textiles and traditional weaving techniques to recreate the luxurious fabrics from the past. * During this workshop you’ll weave a brocade silk fabric of about 18cm square, following in the tradition of the artisan Koho Tatsumura, a master of Nikishi whose textiles are akin to weaving light.
