Kawai Kanjiro's House

Unassuming inside and out – yet with beauty in its simplicity – the home of Kawai Kanjiro will give you deeper insight into the craft of the ceramics expert, who was hugely influential in the history of Japanese pottery. Walking through the house, you'll see a blend of Japanese and Western influences in the furniture. In the back of the home, there's the chance to see the kiln and tools used by the artisan himself.
