The first Doge's Palace dates from the 9th century, but was destroyed by a fire and rebuilt in the 14th century.
Former official residence of the Doges of the Republic and centre of Venetian political power for many centuries, the Doge's Palace will amaze you with its golden staircases, arches triumphal and its sumptuous wall frescoes.
Gothic in style, the famous Palazzo Ducale will introduce you to the history and culture of Venice, the city of masks. You can admire many works by artists such as Titian, Veronese, Tiepolo and Tintoretto.
Don't miss crossing the Bridge of Sighs, which led the prisoners to the palace prison.
