Grand Palais Éphémère: Temporary Exhibition

The Grand Palais Éphémère may be temporary, but the eco-friendly building (a substitute for the nave of the Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées during its restoration) on the Champ-de-Mars offers a unique new look to Paris. * Inside you’ll be able to enjoy a rotating array of temporary exhibitions. Throughout the Grand Palais Éphémère’s tenure – until 2024 – the space will play host to events such as the International Contemporary Art Fair, fashion parades for Heremès and CHANEL, and a number of competitions for the Paris 2024 Olympics. * The architecture of Jean-Michel Wilmotte, which champions ecological virtues, is another highlight of the visit. The building consists of 44 arches with lumber from sustainably managed forests and a canvas shell that generates 90% less energy during manufacturing compared to glass. Amazingly, the entire construct was assembled in only three months.
