Museum of Belize and Houses of Culture

Step inside one of Belize's old colonial buildings. Once a prison, now a national museum, you'll be able to learn about both Belize's ancient past and see a relic of British rule. * Inside, you'll find rooms devoted to the Maya civilization, with artifacts and rarities dating back centuries. Visitors will also be able to get a glimpse of how the building once served as a jail, with one cell still kept as it was before the building became a museum.
