More info

It took more than 350 years for Vienna's main cathedral to be built, with kings and dukes adding extensions and spires to a ruined church since 1160. Since then, the Cathedral has seen some of the most notable events in Austria's history, with 72 members of the Habsburg dynasty in the church's catacombs, and the spires of the tower serving as a Viennese landmark.
